FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Local attorneys are hosting "Talk to a Lawyer Today" on Monday, a tribute to Martin Luther King Junior.
The Volunteer Lawyer Program of Northeast Indiana will offer free legal advice for those who cannot afford council. This is advice only, not legal representation.
Attorneys will offer 10 to 15 minute consultations. They are free to the public and without regard to income.
"Talk To A Lawyer Today" sites will be available in three locations across northeast Indiana.
Allen County:
Allen County Public Library Downtown
900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne, IN
9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Steuben County:
Carnegie Library of Steuben County
322 S. Wayne Street, Angola, IN
9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Huntington County:
LaFontaine Center
208 W. State Street, Huntington, IN
9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Hotline Access for Spanish speakers: 800.279.8772
Additionally, a hotline is available to residents throughout the region who are unable to attend in person. And a toll free number will be staffed by Spanish speaking attorneys. The coverage area includes Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley counties.
